X-Mas

sorry for the lapse in posts!

So I have been working on my comic pretty hard the last few weeks between sleep and my actual job.... sorry sleep but you had to go.... anyways, that is my excuse for not posting here the last couple weeks.

ive been doing a lot of quick digi-ink drawings as warm ups. there are more at my conceptart.org sketchbook (link to the right------>), and alchemy sketches. I thought I would post these up along with a panel from the comic.

this is my first soldier done in zbrush from a base model made out of zspheres.

Cypress and a self portrait

This is Cypress. He is a character from my comic THE CARRIERS. I wanted to see what he would look like if I was doing a street fighter game with my characters... which I would totally love to do!... Maybe someday when I get the website up I can figure out how to do it as an online flash game.

SOME SAY HE IS MAD

Madman by Mike Allred is really one of the few consistently good books coming out on a regular basis. Megan bought me a signed copy of the Madman Gargantua last year for my birthday. The thing is a brick but it is one of my most prized possesions. A little fan art to break up the pace of the blog.

BTW---
Getting a new laptop soon to increase the amount of art I am putting out. It's kinda hard to get a lot of good work done when you have a full time job. :)
Anyways the Carrier is fully scripted and layed out on paper. The HEARTBURN story is completely scripted and handed off to Josh Filer for interior art.

Josh has been putting together some great work. His last few hentai inspired drawings are really cool and I am excited to see what he does with them for color. He has also been doing a lot of t-shirts which I hope he will be selling soon.

I hope to get the pages for the Carrier started on the new laptop. I think it will look fantastic!

Until then expect some of the more standard video game type characters and some more environments.

ive been posting on concept art for awhile now and I am really amazed how the user names become the persons identity. An example would be Andrew Jones also known as Android. His user name is more identifiable and connected to his art than probably his real name. Examples of this can be seen all over the web. Just for kicks i signed this sketch with my username
